Flourishing Fridays are about things to consider as you head into the weekend.
As we head into another weekend, consider reflecting on how much you have grown and developed over the last 3 months. We are attuned to look at what is bad and not working, rather than what is great and is working well. Think about the roller coaster of emotions you have been through and where you now sit. Consider the skills you have developed (Zoom expertise….) over this time and how you have learnt and adapted to the changing isolation stages including rearranging your work life, exercise regime, cooking, perhaps home schooling for some, travel plans, remote social connections, as well as various other parts of your life. Truly reflect on what you know now and can do and cope with that you didn’t know just a few months ago.
We can only build resilience during the tough times, not the good times, so truly appreciate how much more resilient you are now and give yourself a huge pat on the back. Consider a celebratory treat, such as a massage, glass (or bottle) of champagne, or something else you love to enjoy. Share your developments with housemates, colleagues and friends.
