Thankful Thursdays are about gratitude and being thankful for what you already have in your life.
Today’s post is about Three Good Things.
This is a simple daily gratitude exercise that expands on the dinner time questions I previously suggested. The research suggests that you reflect on what when well for you each day, ideally just before you go to bed, so that these positive thoughts and feelings are fresh in your mind when you head hits the pillow. Here’s the simple steps to follow:
- Every night, just before you go to bed, reflect on your day
- Identify 3 things that went well for you today or that you are grateful for
- Write them down. Reflect on them and how they made/make you feel.
That’s it. You might find it easier to keep a journal or notebook next to your bed and do this before you turn the lights out.
Enjoy!!
